Welcome to our Website!  We are using this site to introduce you to the varied opportunities available from us that will help us accomplish a work to honor our Lord.

Be A Lighthouse Fellowship was first organized in the mid nineties to encourage witnessing Christians and provide helps and ideas for starting conversations with non-Christians, engaging in discussions and studies regarding the Bible, the only Word of God that is available to us.  We published a newsletter called “The Light” and we published bulletin inserts for churches called “Be A Lighthouse.”  Now with the internet, we can accomplish our goals and provide services in a more direct fashion.

It is our desire to serve the body of Christ with simple, brief, encouraging words on the subject of witnessing.  Why have we selected the lighthouse visual for our logo?  Is it because of the many attractive and popular lighthouses that dot the Michigan/Great Lakes shorelines?  Rather, we selected the lighthouse visual because a lighthouse is used to project light to the area around it; just as we are to reflect the light of Christ to our community . . . our world.

The lighthouse is important, but the light is all-important.  The lighthouse must be connected to its power source to help ships in distress.  Jesus Christ is our light-source. Jesus said: “…I am the light of the world.  He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12 NKJ).  So it is the LIGHT that is key in our Christian journey.  We have selected the lighthouse as our logo to illustrate the important role each believer in Jesus Christ performs as one who reflects a continuous, consistent, bright light to our own little worlds.  Jesus said: “You are the light of the world.  A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand (lighthouse), and it gives light to all who are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 NKJ).

We look forward with great anticipation to sharing this website with you… a lighthouse in your world; and we look forward to hearing from you, our readers, about your joys and triumphs in sharing your testimony with others.  We trust this journey together will be enjoyable, helpful, and will result in us all taking many others to heaven with us.  “Therefore encourage one another, and build up one another, just as you also are doing” (I Thessalonians 5:11 NAS).

Did you ever wonder why God said in Genesis 1:26, "...Let US make man in OUR image" when in the beginning there was only God?  That's right!  Jesus was with God way back then even before He had come to earth as a babe in Bethlehem.  Jesus Christ is also eternal, as is God's Holy Spirit; they were all present at Creation 6000 years ago.

Then, 4000 years later, God, the Son added human nature to His divine nature and Jesus Christ was born.  He is still the Word.  He is still divine, holy, unchanging, pure, forgiving, humble, trustworthy, gentle, kind, and so much more.  He is all man and all God.  And Jesus is still alive!  He is in Heaven with God the Father.  Jesus is the only living Savior!  Our calendar dating is based on Jesus Christ; BC stands for “Before Christ” and AD stands for “After Descent” of Jesus Christ.  We are now living over 2010 years from when Jesus Christ lived on this earth for 33 years.

John 3:16 reads: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

Jesus came to earth to forgive our sins and to make the only connection possible between God and man.  This was/is the only way for humans to interact with the God and Creator of the universe, and to be assured that our sins have been and will be forgiven in this life and be assured of making it to Heaven to spend eternity with God and Jesus Christ.
